Gorrilas in Paraguay
After months of speculation and anticipation—including two special shows in Los Angeles where they performed their new album *The Mountain* in full—Gorillaz has confirmed the details of its first extensive South American tour since 2023, including Paraguay following their memorable appearance at Asunciónico 2018.
Produced by G5PRO, the Paraguay stop of the tour will once again bring the world’s most successful virtual act to life, led by its creators, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Albarn will be joined on stage by the Gorillaz live band and a lineup of very special guest artists.
The Gorillaz live experience—hailed as “an overwhelming pop spectacle” by *Rolling Stone* and “a star-studded show packed with lavish visuals and borderless music” by *The Observer*—draws on a quarter-century of musical innovation that defies genres and redefines conventions.
Since their creation by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, vocalist 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist Noodle, and drummer Russel Hobbs have built an unmatched catalog of classics, including “Feel Good Inc.,” “Clint Eastwood,” “On Melancholy Hill,” “DARE,” “Dirty Harry,” “Stylo,” “Kids with Guns,” “Tomorrow Comes Today,” “Rhinestone Eyes,” and many more.
The BRIT and GRAMMY Award-winning band released its latest album, *The Mountain*, on February 27 through its own KONG label. The album was previewed by the critically acclaimed singles “The Happy Dictator (featuring Sparks),” “The Manifesto (ft. Trueno and Proof),” “The God of Lying (featuring IDLES),” “Damascus (ft. Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey),” and “Orange County (ft. Bizarrap, Kara Jackson & Anoushka Shankar)” / “The Hardest Thing (ft. Tony Allen).”
*The Mountain* marks the latest chapter in Gorillaz’s acclaimed discography, which includes *Gorillaz* (2001), *Demon Days* (2005), *Plastic Beach* (2010), *The Fall* (2011), *Humanz* (2017), *The Now Now* (2018), *Song Machine – Season One: Strange Timez* (2020), and *Cracker Island* (2023).
